Postcards from Lynchburg

Postcards from Lynchburg is the longest-running campaign in advertising history. Beginning in the late- 50's, it was the first of its kind: more of a series of non-fiction short stories about the people and the town than typical alcohol ads of the day that tried to appeal to consumers with symbols of upward mobility and prosperity.

The campaign ran primarily as third page print ads for three decades and as the brand expanded globally they were used as posters in metro stations across Europe.

To this day, Postcards from Lynchburg is still a mainstay in the London Underground where they appear throughout the Tube stations on every platform.
